Solution Architect/Engineer job in Zurich
On behalf of our client, top tier bank in Switzerland, we are looking for a Solution Architect/Engineer to join their team in Zurich on a initially 6 months contract basis.
Job purpose
This project is delivering next generation of BYOD Employee & Partner remote access systems.
Successfully candidate will provide deep technical knowledge, thought leadership & architectural vision with an eye on the broader EUC landscape & industry trends. Working in support of the Solution Architecture SME, candidate will be responsible for delivering prototyping, solutioning, road-mapping and technical oversight. This role is operating at a senior level, and the individual is expected to work with a level of independence & drive topics, syndication and communicate vision on complex topics to all levels.
Job responsibilities
Deliver Solution designs and on-going architectural governance on the following platform components. This will involve solutioning, prototyping, blueprints, syndication with multiple stakeholders and peer technical groups through detailed documentation and presentations.
- Employee remote access with Xendesktop & Netscaler delivering 'contextually aware' remote ICA sessions. eg if user is off campus then block application/URL xyz on target desktop. Potentially leveraging Appsense/Windows security controls.
- Endpoint security solution - Provide solution to protect ICA endpoint.
- Partner remote access - improve onboarding process & xenapp application hosting
- Tuning remoting protocol - tuning audio/telephony/video on the Citrix HDX protocol
- Prototyping - mobile apps for personal laptop, Good Dynamics Apps on Windows/MAC desktop
Requirements
- Deep Technical skills with engineering background
- Field Experience in Remote Access
- Knowledge about industry standards and trends in BYOD, Server based compute, VDI
- Strong presentation skills in verbal and written communication,
- Ability to work independently
- Skills and proven experience with following products:
- Netscaler
- Citrix Receiver
- Citrix XenDeskop/XenApp
- Appsense
- Deep Windows & encryption
- Identity & Identity federation
- DLP
- VPN, SSL, Firewalls, MPLS, QoS
- RDP, ICA
- Fluency in English
- Leadership skills
