Edelway AG is a Swiss IT professional services company.
We are now looking for an experienced IT System Engineer to join our international team at our global client (5000 + people) in the Suisse Romande area, Geneva.
This is a long term relation and we will be particularly interested to hear from local candidates or keen to relocate to the area, start with a 6 month contract, extension related to performance.
The role consists in providing subject matter expertise for managed desktop environment, ensuring effective support and delivery of services for user productivity, implementation and maintenance of the systems and infrastructure.
You will report to the Lead System Engineer and work with the global Workstation maangement teams.
Desktop environment: Windows 7 and Office 2010
Start date: ASAP
THE ROLE:
- Define and maintain hardware builds, configurations and related security settings (Firewall, end point protection, etc ) for workstations
- Implement and support global Microsoft Centre configuration Manager (SCCM 2007) environment
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate systems deployment, operations and management.
- Support and maintenance of Active Directory (AD 2008) and authentication systems
- Implement, support and maintain infrastructure for service delivery, recovery and standard operating procedures.
- Integrate Windows systems and services with monitoring and management systems and take actions to ensure system availability, security and integrity.
- Third level support for user request
YOUR PROFILE:
- MSc in IT or similar
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and client systems, and Systems Centre Configuration Manager.
- Excellent Workstation configuration management, Active Directory and authentication systems skills.
- Strong Workstation security, virtualization systems and remote desktop services.
- Strong knowledge of Windows file and print services.
- Excellent Scripting skills for systems deployment, operation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP internetworking, DHCP and DNS.
- Excellent communication skills
- English fluent, French a plus
