On behalf of our client, a large global financial organization, we're looking for a Desktop Configuration Engineer to work in their desktop engineering team for an estimated 18 months contract, the initial duration is 6 months (renewable).
Daily Responsibilities
You will join a highly skilled desktop engineering team and will focus on the configuration of group policies in a Windows desktop environment. You will be required to take business requirements from product management related to their, and answer to them with proposed Group Policies and/or AppSense configurations. Also, you will be involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in the terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times and vulnerability management. In addition, you will act as centre of competence in his area for product management and from time for operation team and would propose solutions in situations when operations were not able to resolve incident/problem.
Requirements
- Strong Windows Engineering skills
- Experience in the configuration of desktop images
- Windows 7, 10 (nice to have) experience
- Strong Knowledge of PowerShell (able to write functions)
- VBS Knowledge
- Knowledge of Active Directory, especially group policies
- Needs to understand OS settings
- Knowledge of Windows Client deployment
- Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting.
- AppSense Environmental experience (nice to have)
- Experience in large financial organisations (nice to have)
