Perl/ETL engineer
On behalf of our client, a leading global company, we are looking for a Perl/ETL Engineer. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Role:
- Design, Deploy, and Support Automated ETL jobs for a variety of Data Source types within the existing framework.
- Support and maintain the scheduled jobs and data Import definitions and transform maps
- Documentation - Design, monitoring and Implementation documents
- Assist and mentor the support teams in problem resolution and drive for constant "correct shift"
Skills:
- Strong Perl experience
- Hands on ETL experience
- JavaScript (asset)
- Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues
- Demonstrated experience with databases, including SQL programming, preferable Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of Windows server environment
- Proven ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business analysts, solution architects, project managers and development teams. English essential, German would be an asset.
