For our banking client in Zurich, we are currently looking for a Credit Risk Application Developer
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6months +
Location: Zurich
Key Challenge of the Role:
Efficient development of data structures and building processes for loading and processing data
Pro-active approach in order to anticipate requirements
Collaboration with IT and with credit risk business specialists
Agile development approach
Working precisely even under time pressure
Key Responsibilities:
The SQL Server Developer will be responsible for:
* Analysing business requirements
* Work with business users to clarify requirements
* Design and develop applications (data analysis; database modelling; build databases, tables and views to support Credit Risk reporting)
* Develop ETL(Extract Transform and Load) processes
* Unit test reporting applications:
* Assist users with user acceptance testing; implement applications into production environment
* Create technical documentation for each process
* Create user guide documentation
* Provide user training
* Provide weekly activity/status reports to both BI and development progress
The data sources will be from Oracle, SQL, Excel and flat files. The application will be developed using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 (including Integration Services (SSIS) and track record of application development
* Good knowledge of Oracle Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS)
* Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
* Hyperion, MS Access, Crystal or Excel
* Credit Risk knowledge would be a large advantage
