Underwriting Business Analyst
My reinsurance client is looking for the talents of an underwriting business analyst. The underwriting business analyst responsibility will be to analyse, monitor and report on the underwriting metrics. The goal is to assist the underwriting department through the process of business planning and reforecasting.
The underwriting business analyst will be responsible for:
The analysis of management information around market and client performance.
Assisting in the comparison of the business plan against actual performance
Actively involved in the production of underwriting reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. These reports will be for use of senior stakeholders within the department. You should also be capable of identifying possibilities that can that improve the reporting process
Manage the day-to-day control environment of the underwriting data quality risk.
Candidates applying for the role should have the following experience:
Degree in an information technology or business related discipline is required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (to VBA and Macro level) and Microsoft Word
Good understanding of database relationships and data warehousing concepts.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, speaking in a proactive and flexible manner.
Insurance experience is essential, re-insurance experience is advantageous
