For our pharmaceutical client in Basel, we are seeking a Communications Manager to support Senior Communications Managers on various communications needs related to Global Drug Development including employee engagement and content development.

Start Date: 2nd May 2016

End Date: 31st July 2016

Location: Basel

We're looking for an interim Communications manager to join the Development Communications team with specific focus on delivering communications relating to a transformation program.

The Communications Manager will support the team on a combination of internal communications messaging, content creation for Internal Communications channels (Intranet articles, blog posts, videos, etc.), as well as coordinating internal and stakeholder communications activities for the program.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of delivering internal communications within large private sector organizations during times of transformation.

Key areas of accountability:

* Create content for our internal channels, manage/coordinate publication and distribution, and regularly measure and evaluate the effectiveness of our content and channels
* Coordinate and plan collaboratively global and workstreams communications activities for the program
* Work with internal stakeholders across divisions and locations to create and disseminate Group-wide messages
* Support the development of a strong internal communications supportive network
* Support the organization of events (webcasts, townhall meetings, etc.)

Desirable Skills:

* At least 8 years' experience working in internal communications, or a closely related field, in a global company, ideally Pharma sector
* Experience of providing internal communications in support of complex change programs in multi-cultural environments, covering multiple locations
* Highly organized collaborator with demonstrated project management skills
* Ability to work on several projects, meet deadlines and maintain quality in a fast paced global environment with constantly changing priorities
* Strategic thinker with strong consulting skills, able to partner with all levels of the organization to execute communications plans
* Self-starter with a strong commitment to internal customer satisfaction, able to work independently as well as in teams
* Fluent English speaker with excellent written and oral communications skills
* Ideally experienced with digital communications and social media (Intranet, blog, internal social media)
