C# .NET Developer, Banking, English (12 Month Contract, Zurich)
On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced C# .NET Developer to work on a client side project.
This is a 12-month contract with a strong chance of extension based in Zurich, Switzerland starting in March/April 2016.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will possess the following skills:
- 5+ years C# development experience and knowledge of advanced programming practices, eg design patterns.
- In depth understanding of OO principles
- Experience of implementing multi-tier applications with SOA (Service oriented architecture)
- Hands on experience on ASP.NET MVC and WPF
- Understanding of Agile practices, including test driven development and refactoring
- Motivated and enthusiastic team player
- Someone that shows initiative and resourcefulness
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
As the successful applicant you will work in a dynamic and international integration and API team of developers working on the enhancement of existing connections to multiple different parts of the bank. This role has a broad exposure to a wide variety of bank systems in order to expose them in a modern, forward-looking services architecture.
You will be responsible for designing applications or customizing existing applications for use by a variety of consuming applications, predominantly web-based.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Provide task-analysis and estimates, prototypes and proof-of-concepts as part of the analysis process
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
- Assist with production support of existing applications, log analysis, tracking and problem resolution.
- Analyse information to determine, recommend, and plan specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications.
