For a major international client in Canton of Vaud, we are looking for a:
Senior Java Developer/Software Architect
to be in charge of the software development, corrective maintenance and code improvements of our client's E-commerce custom systems as well as to responsible for the solution life cycle over multiple layers, ranging from the E-commerce platform through the integration system and down to the Back End.
Responsibilities will include:
- Write good quality code
- Perform corrective maintenance and correction of identified defects
- Apply best practices, and software architecture guidelines
- Analyses functional specifications and provides estimates with the help of developers.
- Writes solution design, based on business requirements and functional specifications, strategic design and performance goals for our client's software ecosystem
- Supports test design through the overall solution life cycle
- Promotes code quality and functional reuse
- Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- 5-10 years' experience as a developer ideally as a Java and/or Internet,E-commerce developer
- 2-3 years' experience as a software architect,
- Strong skills in J2EE and integration
- Excellent knowledge of UML and other modelling frameworks
- Experience in Scrum and Agile development methodologies
- Experience of web service, SOAP, REST
- English (Fluent), French would be a plus.
This is a contract position with an international client until the end of September 2016 in the first instance.
The client is located on Lake Geneva, in canton of Vaud.
Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
