Project Portfolio Manager, Reinsurance, Contract, Zurich

For our Client, a worldwide renowned Reinsurance Group based in Zurich, Swisslinx is looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to join the IT Workplace Project Delivery team, and own and be accountable for the Project Portfolio Management activities.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will manage the portfolio governance process, create a collaborative partnership among executive leaders and portfolio stakeholders, and enable resource demand planning, change management, and project pipeline planning decisions.
  • You will maintain the project roadmap and associated plans (such as resource plans, financial status and forecast, benefits schedule) and actively manage cross project dependencies, engaging project managers and stakeholders (customers, engineering teams).
  • You will actively contribute to the definition and improvement of existing processes, standards and templates, and ensure these are being lived according to the expected quality standards.
  • You will demonstrate leadership by example. You are responsible to liaise and communicate at different levels of the organization, from senior management to technical staff.
  • Behavioural aspects such as client centricity, collaboration and navigate ambiguity are key for success in this role.

In order to be considered for this position, we are looking to find the best candidates with the following profile:

  • Project, Program and Portfolio Management skills (5+ years).
  • Prince2 or PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Proven Experience in the creation of portfolio management dashboards and governance processes, as well as related continuous improvement activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in liaising with stakeholders at different levels and locations.
  • Ability to enable and drive decision making at different levels of the organization, from technical to executive level. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of IT Workplace/Infrastructure services and technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in customer/client facing roles is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, global environment.
  • ITIL knowledge.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products, especially Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
