For a project at our client - an international bank in Zurich - we are looking for an experienced

Sybase & Linux/Perl Developer - Collateral Trading Services (3557)

In this exciting role, you will meet the following environments:

  • Developer working on the database and batch processes of the Securities Lending/Repo trading plattform
  • Development and maintenance of Sybase stored procedures
  • Maintenance of Perl and Linux Shell Scripts
  • Please note this is a developer role and not database administration.

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Sybase or SQL Server experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Unix/Linux and Perl Scripting
  • English is a must
  • Knowledge of Securities Lending, Repo and Collateral trading as well as prior experience of JIRA is desirable
  • Agile project delivery and Sybase performance and tuning experience is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Sybase database queries and stored procedures
  • Develop and maintain data feeds to downstream systems and processing of feeds from upstream systems
  • Develop and maintain batch jobs written in Linux and Perl scripts
  • Provide 3rd level support to end users and 1st/2nd level support team
  • Maintenance and documentation of database schema
  • Documentation of batch jobs and processes
  • Development and maintenance of reports and Crystal reporting templates
  • Help capture business requirements in the form of User Stories
  • Work directly with Business users at all levels on small projects such as report development and enhancements
