For our client, a pharmaceutical company in Basel, Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious:

Communication Expert - Windows 10 migration

About the project:

Our client is launching the project for the global Windows 10 migration and is seeking support for the project initiation and define phase. Extension of the role past these phases desired if candidate is a good fit.

The following items will be upgraded:

  • Windows 7 to Windows 10
  • Internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11
  • Microsoft Office 2010 to Microsoft Office 2016

This translates to an impact on the company globally (all sites and business functions). Furthermore the project is expected to have many dependencies to other business and IT endeavors that need to be identified and managed accordingl.

About the role:

During the Initiate and Define phase, the candidate will support the Windows 10+ OCM lead and other project streams with generating communications material for various media (slides, targeted emails, newsletters, g+ forum posts etc.) and support preparation and execution of kick-off workshops; furthermore, support OCM lead to formulate a plan on how to involve the stakeholders in the regions and the business functions; support definition of communication strategy and prepare defined communication material.

During the later project phases, the candidate will prepare the communication templates the sites will use to communicate with the end-users before, during and after the migrations as well as newsletters, g+ forum posts etc. about the project progress and updates for management.

Main tasks:

  • Candidate reports to Windows 10+ OCM stream lead
  • Candidate supports other project streams (mostly Application Readiness Stream) by creating communication as required for them
  • Prepare communication material for various communication channels
  • Assist in the implementation of OCM activities, incl. events, trainings, etc
  • Support preparation and facilitation OCM workshops
  • Develop and manage online and social media channels, incl content creation and coordinate with owners of global channels
  • Write communication targeted to end-users, stakeholders and higher management
  • Prepare overview presentations, newsletter updates etc.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Communication Management preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience in multinational company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in workshop facilitation
  • Track record of communications roles in projects of similar complexity
  • Experience in change projects
  • Structured approach, problem-solving, flexible and self-directed with analytical skills
  • Excellent English language skills (ideally English native speaker or equivalent proficiency); additional languages a plus
  • Strong interest in new technologies and familiar with Google Suite (esp. gSites and G+ forums)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in desktop migration projects
  • Certification in change methodologies such as Prosci
  • Project management experience
  • German-speaking
  • Experience with creating training approaches and trainings (relevant if candidate's assignment is extended after Initiate and Define phase)

Start: 25.01.2016
Duration: 5 months with optional extension
Location: Basel area (20% remote work possible)
