Frontend Developer, CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Banking, English (12 month rolling contract, Basel)
For our international banking client, Swisslinx are looking for a motivated Frontend Developer with strong web skills (CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript etc) for a challenging long term contract with a strong chance for renewal in Basel, Switzerland.
This is a 12 month rolling contract role starting in January/February 2016.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- At least of 3 years experience in Front End development with CSS3, HTML5, JS, PHP and associated technologies
- Experience with at least one of these JavaScript libraries/frameworks: AngularJS, Knockout, Ember, React or Backbone
- Familiar with UX & IA best practices, cross browser compatibility and responsive design methodologies
- Experience with Drupal (7.x) would be a bonus
- Background working according to Agile or SCRUM practices desirable
- Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills in English
- Knowledge of German a strong advantage
- You are a self starter and have the ability to pick new concepts up quickly
In your role as Frontend Developer, you will work in a small team of Drupal specialists and take responsibility for the Front End side of Drupal development. You will work on a portal used by our client's user base of over 100,000 worldwide.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop software using commonly used concepts and practices
- Test and deploy applications as per business specifications
- On-going support and maintenance of existing applications, including bug fixing
- Deliver high quality results in a complex environment and under high pressure
