We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer
Industry: Leading Banking Group
Long term contract of 3 years - extendable
Location: Basel

In this role, the successful candidate will play a key part in designing and implementing solutions for information security processes, providing security engineering and architecture services to IT functions, and contributing to risk assessments and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate is a creative, solution-oriented and communicative team player, comfortable working in a multi-cultural and collaborative environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Embed security engineering in IT infrastructure projects and new information management services. Provide technical expertise for security services segmentation, encryption/authentication technologies and/or access management models.
- Contribute to the development of advanced analytics for an active monitoring of security based on deviation to behavioural baselines.
- Review and advise on security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank's information and services
- Contribute to the design of security standards and support IT in compliance with these standards and security policies
- Contribute to the implementation of key critical controls and contribute to the Corporate Security compliance mandate
- Lead technical security projects or represent the unit in related projects. Develop and enhance the BIS security policies and procedures. Participate in the gathering and analysis of information from security-related sources.
Your Profile
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and application architecture
- Good understanding of mobile related technologies, as well as cloud-based federated access management technologies
- Demonstrated security engineering skills in the area of application security, encryption technologies, cloud technology and secured mobility
- Good understanding of the landscape of security solution providers
- Familiar with industry-recognized key critical controls (eg SANS or equivalent)
- Strong analytical capabilities and data-analysis skills
- Good communication skills both with technical experts and senior management
- Team player but technically autonomous
- Certification in security-related disciplines and technologies would be an advantage (accreditation such as CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISA a plus).
- Fluency in English.
- Master degree or equivalent experience in an engineering, computer sciences or quantitative discipline
- At least 5 years of experience as an application architect, senior system developer or senior system engineer
- At least 5 years of involvement in security engineering related concepts
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous education and development in the areas of IT and security
- Proven track record as technical lead and/or project manager
