For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a

Requirements Engineer Tax

Location: Zurich

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Languages: English and German

Role overview:

  • supports business in its duties through IT support and document it to provide a common understanding between the client who use the application and the IT people who built, test and maintain it now and in the future
  • understand business drivers and what needs to be delivered from a business point of view
  • obtain understanding of and commitment to requirements
  • develop, manage, estimate dimensions and consolidate information on the requirements of the project's customers, products and product components according to the requirements engineering process
  • identify synergies, redundancies and inconsistencies between the requirements and the project's plans, work products, business strategy and the overall context in applicational and technical architecture

Key Deliverables:

  • elicit and elaborate requirements
  • model and Document requirements understandable for clients and subsequence roles within IT
  • ensure that specification of the user's needs is accurate, complete and unambiguous
  • maintain traceability between requirements and between requirements and requests
  • identify impact of changes on the existing requirements
  • provide inputs to a first test strategy for the application
  • provide input to the Project Manager for prioritizing requirements
  • supports testing phase by giving input, review test strategy and test cases

Mandatory education/experience:

  • university degree or similar education preferably in information technology or information management
  • requirements engineering experiences within financial institutions of > 6 years
  • solid theoretical understanding and practical experience of use case modelling (UML) in IT projects
  • working-experience within a bank IT environment
  • knowledge of securities, single accounts, bookkeeping
  • well experienced in stakeholder involvement and management

Beneficial experience:

  • IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering or a similar certificate
  • experience in using tools like JIRA, Enterprise Architect 9.x
  • background in software development processes/life cycle
  • understanding of financial instruments
  • project management experience
  • well banking-knowhow about tax, namely about Final Withholding Tax, European Withholding Tax or US Withholding Tax
