For our banking client in Zurich, we are looking for a
Java Software Engineer (for US Withholding Tax Project)
Start date: ASAP -begin of March 2016 at latest
Duration: 12 months initial contract
Location: Zurich
Role overview:
The Software Engineer analyzes the requirements specification and technical solutions from the Solution Architect. Following the architecture standards and guidelines, he/she programs the code/modules and conduct unit and system tests. This role may lead other Java Software Engineers or discuss/advise our off-shore software development partners.
Key Deliverables:
- Development of Java business logic components with EJB, JPA, JMS
- Development of Java User Interfaces with JSF is plus
- Prepare and execute unit and system tests
- Technical documentation of all delivered artifacts
- Analysis and fixing of defects and test environment issues
- Create solution proposals and estimations
Mandatory education/experience:
- university degree or similar education in information technology or information management
- very well experienced (> 8 years) software engineer with knowledge in of EJB 3.x, JMS, JPA, JUnit, SQL/PL/SQL, XML, Web-Services, MQ Series
- knowledge of design patterns (may be with certification)
- profound skills on how to implement an application on the Java Application Platform (JAP) is big plus
- experience with Eclipse IDE, SVN, JIRA, Enterprise Architect 9.x, Oracle DB, Linux/Unix Shell, Maven, Weblogic
- experienced in planning and leading on-site and off-shore software engineers
- banking knowhow
Beneficial experience:
- working-experience within big and complex organizations
- knowledge of securities, single accounts, bookkeeping
- banking-knowhow about tax, namely about US Withholding Tax and/or FATCA reporting

Languages:
