Seeking recent IT graduates with 0-2 year's professional experience since graduating, for an IT Graduate Scheme in a top Swiss Bank.

Requirements:
A good general technical understanding of IT and technology with a desire to work in an IT support role
A university degree in Computing, Sciences or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
Excellent problem-solving skills which must be demonstrated through previous education or career experience
Strong team player with a desire to work in a busy team-focused environment
Good listening & spoken communication skills in English
- Preferred: Experience with Unix (eg handling files, searching logs, checking processes)
- Preferred: Experience with SQL querying (Oracle/Microsoft SQL)
For the duration of this project, you will develop the following skills:
Provide professional 1st/2nd Level Support (technical facing) for FID Applications, core and associated upstream/downstream applications.
Work within max 8-person team providing office hours and on-call support. On-call rota would be 1 in 6 weeks.
Work & liaise with 1st Level Support, 2nd level Investigations and 3rd Level Support/Development teams and associated Unix, Windows, Database and others as appropriate.
Specific duties will be split between primary RTB work (above) and secondary CTB project work (preparation for production go-live, testing and preparation for deployments)
- Investigation and resolution of incoming issues (incidents, service requests) from Business according to ITIL-based Incident Management process.
- Active ownership of open incidents - ensure resolution or workaround and escalation to Problem Management as appropriate and participation in NPLs/MIRs as required.
- Timely and accurate communication to Business and to other Support teams.
- Documentation and maintenance of per-application support procedures.
- Cross-training colleagues in the applications and underlying technologies and infrastructure forming the FID applications landscape.
- Engagement in knowledge transfer or Support hand-over process from 2nd/3rd level or vendors to ensure capture of Support requirements at an early stage and avoid loss of know-how.
Ability to be able to support applications in a trading environment including:
- Unix applications (WebLogic + bash Scripting) as well as a basic understanding of unix processes and file handling (log files etc)
- Windows based applications including web applications hosted on IIS
- Database querying (SQL) and an understanding of relational-database DDL
- Dealing with business queries within the trading & sales environment in a high-pressure business
