For our banking client in Zurich we are looking for a
Java developer - JEE, Designing
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Location: Zurich
Key Responsibilities Participate in the development of a large Java EE application:
- Analysis, design, implementation and unit testing of JEE software components.
- Implementation of RESTful services which delivers Data and Metadata to the GUI
- Migrating existing application components to the new service layer
- Active participation on code reviews and other quality assurance actions.
- Enhance current solution and getting involved in maintaining the product
- Adhere to the bank IT Solution Delivery Policies and other relevant regulations.
Must have skills:
- Expert knowledge of Java EE application development (JEE-Architecture)
- Proven strong knowledge of OOP, software design principles and design patterns
- Proven experience on large projects, large systems, with large throughput, high performance.
- Experience of best-practices in a Java development environment (test-driven development, continuous integration, source code control)
- Strong experience XML/REST Services/REST paradigm/JAX-RS/Jersey
- Experienced with setting up and configuring Tomcat App Servers
- Strong experience with Spring framework/Hibernate/JPA
- Master/Bachelor in Information Technology or Engineering or similar is required
- Strong written and oral communication skills (English). People who can express themselves and communicate with onsite.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt
- A self-starter, being able to take ownership of tasks at short-notice, and push them to delivery.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience with GRAILS Framework is a strong advantage
- Experience with JAP version 8 is a strong advantage
- Experience in Service Design best practices
- Knowledge of OS Windows and Unix/Linux
- Banking sector is a strong advantage
- Willingness to participate in a strategic banking project
