WebSphere MQ Administrator/Engineer (Banking)
On behalf of our client, a leading global bank, we are looking for an English speaking WebSphere MQ Administrator/Engineer. For this contract position based in Zurich, Switzerland, our client is looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible.
Your main responsibilities as an Administrator will be:
Be responsible for the daily housekeeping tasks of the WMQ/WMB infrastructure
- UNIX (Solarise, Linux) and Mainframe
- make sure that all monitoring events get addressed
- keep dead.letter queues clean
- go behind expired certificates
- keep monitoring up to date
- take necessary actions on reccurent issues
Your main responsibilities as an Engineer will be:
Work on life cycle and application onboarding tasks
- end of live migration tasks
- life cycle WMQ V7.0.x -> V7.5/V8 and WMQBroker V7.x -> V9
- support new onboarding projects on Linux
You must possess:
- Fluent expertise of WebSphere MQ V7.x/V8.x + MessageBroker V7.x/V9.x
- Fluent with MQ clustering and muliti-instance setup
- Experience with Linux + Solaris
- Experience with Mainframe, Java a plus
