For our customer, we would like to fill the following vacancy:We are looking for an experienced individual who combines the skills of a project manager and a business analyst to support our project teams in implementing customer solutions in the IT environment. Success in this position will require strong project management/support and analytics skill, the ability to think conceptually, and the experience to develop creative, yet practical, IT solutions.
• You have professional working experience in the field of project management/support, business analytics, and operational improvement.
• You help manage the day-to-details in the role of the all-important right-hand person of the lead project manager. You can act in a project support capacity and perform tasks necessary to keep a project running smoothly. In some cases, you carry the lion’s share of responsibility for project support tasks (updating the project schedule, taking minutes at meetings, responding to emails, and writing progress reports). This is your “due diligence,” and you should ask as many questions as necessary so to confidently execute your daily responsibilities.
• You can work independently without much guidance and take directions depending on the assignment. You have strong influencing skills and a proven ability to get things done without formal authority.
• You evaluate the progress of the project to ensure that the timeline is followed steadily and consistently. You keep an open line of communication with the project participants.
• You gather requirements and information through interviews with project contributors and stakeholders and study the procedures and systems currently in place. You have the skills necessary to look at data and other relevant information in order to structure the information in an understandable manner. Additionally, you support the project team in the creation of user manuals and other project documentation.
• You have a knack to think outside the box but can follow standard procedures when necessary.
• You are used to work in an unstructured environment and enjoy assisting in evaluating and improving work processes and information flows.
• An entrepreneurial spirit is essential as you will have the opportunity to contribute to several facets of the project’s success.
• You are ethical, independent, and highly motivated self-starter with logical problem-solving abilities.
• You are an excellent communicator, eager to keep project stakeholders informed on a regular basis and as needed.
• You juggle various tasks efficiently by prioritizing your assignments.
• You embrace working in global projects in a virtual environment with stakeholders located in different parts of the world.
• You have a strong and demonstrated ability in verbal and written communications in English. Additional languages, such as German, are a plus.
Candidate Requirements:
• 5-8 years experience as Business Analyst with Project Management or Project Management with Business Analysis experience, effectively supporting cross functional project teams in a highly matrixed organization with non-co-located teams, preferably in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in project management, operational improvement, and business analytics
• Strong and demonstrated ability in verbal and written communications.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written) is required; additional languages, preferably German, are a plus.
• Professional certification (PMP) preferred but not necessary
• Experience in the pharma industry a plus but not required
