Senior Sourcing Manager

On behalf of a leading Medical Devices company in Switzerland, I am looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager. This is a contract position in its Zuchwil offices. My client is looking for new team member who has experience in facilitation and enablement of programs, to be part of their sourcing group. Job Summary
In this role, you will help develop and execute the client's base business strategy and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practices. You will provide a practical and intellectual understanding of the global industry as well as hands-on leadership in all aspects of Sourcing operations. You will have overall responsibility for cost, quality, service, SEI and Supplier Diversity for the client's sourcing group for the plants managed. You will also be responsible for co-developing the strategy for the plants managed, aligning the procurement processes with the wider organization and for delivering the procurement metrics for the plants managed.
Your tasks & responsibilities
- Partner with the Category & Advanced Sourcing and Innovation functions to ensure alignment to meet and exceed goals
- Develop and implement strong business systems to establish proactive issue communication to the Make function, manage supplier partnerships & contribute positively to the efficiency of Supply Chain
- Provide input to the Sourcing strategic direction and coordinate the group to ensure alignment to that strategic direction
- Partner with Supplier Quality to ensure alignment on supplier management processes
- Prepare annual business plans budget and deliver YOY productivity savings and any other reporting requirements for the groups
- Develop and manage a technically based, competent sourcing organization
- Develop an organization & lead a robust team to ensure future success
- Upgrade supplier skills (ship-to-stock, emerging technologies, etc.)
- Manage supplier capabilities including but not limited to capacity planning, tooling and resource investments including inventory management.
- Conduct industry research and market surveys to stay current with best in class strategic sourcing practices and customer demands.
- Analyze overall system capabilities in support of the supply chain
What you must have
- BS Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
- Expertise in Operations, Logistics, Planning, and Forecasting
- Fluent English
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years relevant experience in a logistics/supply chain role within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Management leadership: setting direction, influencing, goal alignment, lead & influence others in a Matrix organization
- Financial management
- Budget development and control
- Analytical-absorb information & solve complex problems quickly
- Management & leadership of a diverse workforce
- Proven ability to influence/collaborate required
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills required
What is nice to have
- MBA or master's preferred.
- CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) preferred
- Understanding of German
- Change Leadership expertise
