Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for a Quantitative Analyst to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.
Your role
Your role as a Consultant will be to support the grant funding allocation team. The Consultant would work closely with the Allocation Specialist, under the oversight of the Allocation Manager, to prepare high-quality quantitative analysis and presentations related to the review, update and roll-out of the funding allocation model. This role requires using advanced analytical skills and communicating complex issues to a diverse audience.
Job Description/Key Responsibilities:
Main Tasks
Under guidance the Consultant will:
- Support the Allocation Specialist in providing high-quality and timely analysis on aspects of the allocation methodology
- Support the Allocation Specialist in developing scenarios to inform options for refining the allocation model
- Prepare presentation materials for policy analysis and high-level decision making at Board Committee meetings regarding the evolution of the allocation model
- Conduct data quality controls on allocation-related analyses to ensure outputs are accurate and of high quality
- Support the coordination and documentation of reviews conducted within the Client teams on aspects of the allocation methodology
- Support the Allocation Team to implement adjustments to the allocation model, following senior decisions and Board approvals
- Support the roll-out of the allocation model, including the communications to countries with final allocation funding amounts
To deliver the required results, it's essential that you have:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in economics, health economics or other quantitative discipline
- Several years of experience in international development
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; significant experience analysing complex datasets; experience in modelling
- Sound judgment with ability to apply strategic thinking and high-quality advice based on complex analysis
- Excellent skills in Excel and Powerpoint
- Programming experience in the language "R"
