For a project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedProject Manager - SOX / US GAAP (5740)
Our client introduces a new impairment guidance for credit losses mandated by Fincancial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and International Accounting Standards Boards (IASB) for accrual accounted financial instruments and off-balance sheet commitments is expected to result in increased valuation allowances compared to current US GAAP and IFRS.
Your qualifications:
• 7-10 years of experience as Project Manager in the financial industry within similar projects
• Deep understanding in global end-to-end process with detailed and robust SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) processes
• In-depth experience in IFRS and/or US_GAAP and/or Swiss Banking GAAP accounting treatment
• Well versed in MS Project and Access skills
• Degree in Finance / Accounting / IT (MBA (Finance) /CA/ICWA/CPA/ACCA)
• Strong communication, organisational and excellent negotiation skills
• Fluent in English, German would be a plus
Your responsibilities:
• Play an instrumental role (in collaboration with CRO Change as a lead in this area) in defining and implementing robust and stable e2e process in order to support fundamental change in the accounting for credit losses
• The ideal candidate will define, design and implement key risks and key controls for Finance Impairment processes to ensure compliance with appropriate internal and external regulations (including SOX compliance)
• Preparation of adequate process documentation (i.e handbooks, manuals, instructions, etc.)
• Developing and executing required training session with adequate supporting material
• Transparent ‘Transition to BAU’ plan defined with business
• Together with IT, define robust testing strategy to effectively cover and steer Finance testing efforts
• Transparently coordinate and support testing roadmap/activities/logistics within Finance area
