For a bank based in Basel we are searching for a Junior Customer Support Officer to join the team.
Purpose of the job:
- Reconciliation of Confirmations and Settlements.
- Performing Static Data maintenance and Audit requests.
Principal accountabilities:
- Ability to cover a variety of Back Office tasks, possibly on a rotational basis, these include:
- Investigate and resolve confirmation mismatches and settlement failures together with Front Office, custodians and customers.
- Static data and settlement instructions maintenance.
- Participation in small IT projects.
- Production of reports.
Qualification and skills:
- Commercial diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Good knowledge of financial instruments.
- Good experience of S.W.I.F.T messaging formats.
- Knowledge of Reuters & Bloomberg information systems.
- Flexible, cooperative, good team member.
- Ability to work methodically and accurately even under pressure.
- Customer-focused.
- Ability to communicate clearly and promptly.
- Computer literacy.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of German, French or other world languages desirable.
Work experience:
- Minimum of one year's work experience in Back, Middle or Front Office activities.
- Desirable: Experience with integrated Trading systems.
