Strategic Purchaser - Indirect Materials wanted for our Zurich based client in the Government sector.
Your experience/skills:
- University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics Management, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent education
- 5+ years' working experience in strategic procurement or equivalent qualifications
- Sound knowledge with the material groups Marketing, Legal, Professional Services, Finance and Travel
- Ability to adapt quickly to new topics and stakeholders and work independently along with demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset
- Languages: fluent English and German both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Acting as single point of contact for the functions Marketing, Legal, Professional Services, Finance and Travel
- Conducting and supporting sourcing processes including demand capturing, market screening, RfX drafting, supplier selection as well as negotiations and contracting
- Proposing sourcing strategy options in addition to analysing historical and forecast data to identify value-add opportunities
- Developing cost reduction opportunities along demand, specification and commercial levers and running cross-functional and divisional cost reduction projects in relevant categories
- Managing selected supplier relations and implementing improvement plans as well as leading cross-functional project teams
- Being responsible for the internal consulting spend approval process
