Senior Business Glossary Analyst (Information Management)
Position Goals:
In the role of a senior business analyst the candidate takes on a key role in this project, which is part of a strategic company-wide data integration program. The goal of the project is to establish capability for a common data language and respective definitions for business specific information for collaboration and governance across the enterprise. Creating a bridge between master data, meta data, and terminology by providing a flexible dictionary.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the below specified three main project goals,
The candidate must perform complex analysis tasks and discuss and share the results with various stakeholders. The candidate has a self-starter attitude and can comfortably navigate business and technical aspects of information management. He/she interacts professionally with stakeholders on all levels.
Main tasks:
- Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs.
- Translate business user concepts and ideas into comprehensive business requirements and design documents.
- Develop and design data model; Conceptual, logical and physical.
- Co-ordinate with technical team for implementation.
- Produce structured and manageable representation of analysis results and communicate results to stakeholders on all levels
- Architecting the solution and framework.
- Define meta data governance framework.
Job requirements:
- Re/Insurance industry experience with similar task in a complex organization is must.
- knowledge of the business and technical fundamentals of information management (metadata management, relational databases, data modelling, data dictionaries)
- Able to turn fragmented sets of information into the authoritative enterprise-wide "big picture"
- Expert in database design (conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling), and data migration activities.
- able to deliver results that serve as instruments to be used on ongoing basis
- Worked in agile project methodology.
- strong communication skills
- Able to handle ambiguity and conflicting information.
