On behalf of our client, a leading Medical Device company in Bettlach, we are looking for a Junior Project Lead with proven experience in a regulated productive environment. Overview:
This role is for a Junior Project Lead for Documentation activity related to the transfer of production from one external supplier to existing internal capacity.
The activity is to be performed in a productive site for Medical Devices (plates, needles and instruments) mostly involving drilling and turning CNC machines. Experience with such machinery is highly advantageous, combined with a previous exposure to Medical Devices and/or Life Science industries.
Nevertheless, technical expertise on machinery is less important than Project Management skills. An important requirement is previous experience in a regulated productive environment.

Your duties and responsibilities:
- You will lead the insourcing efforts and support process improvement activities
- Participate in new equipment acquisition efforts including user requirement specifications, machine selection, installation, validation, employee training, and other related equipment responsibilities as required.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional teams which may include, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, Product Development and other sites.
- Liaise with vendors with regards to contracted products, tools & fixtures, and their manufacture.
Your required education and experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree. (Master's Degree preferred).
- 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
- English fluent, as this is the company language
- German at a good level (conversational) for day by day interactions with stakeholders
- Previous experience in project management in a manufacturing environment required, ideally in the Medical Devices field
- You can demonstrate leadership qualities including confidence, transparency, integrity, innovation, passion, patience and tenacity.
- You have strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- You have strong computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Office, Minitab, and databases.
- You demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers.
Your preferred education and experience:
- Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as Medical Device is preferred.
- Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification or 4 years of experience preferred.
- Experience developing and implementing robust automated manufacturing equipment, preferred.
- Experience with packaging, Laser, and CNC processes and equipment, preferred.
