UX Research Participant Coordinator

We are currently looking for an UX Research Participant Coordinator (m/w) for our client, an international IT-company.

YouTube creators are the cornerstone of the platform and we are dedicated to supporting their growth and success by continuously researching and testing both current and upcoming products. As part of this ongoing effort, we are looking for a UX Research Participant Recruiter to help us source creators for our creator research studies. Your role will play a pivotal part in helping us improve the tools crucial to creators' ongoing success as performers, makers, teachers, storytellers and artists.

In this role, you'll collaborate with researchers to understand their study objectives, clarify their participant requirements and plan the logistics of recruitment support. You'll operate with awareness of our ethical obligations to our participant candidates, including informed consent and privacy concerns. You are a responsible and organized individual who can keep tabs on many projects, pay close attention to details, and accommodate the unexpected. Using your strong communication skills, you'll effectively connect with members of the creator community to confirm their suitability for studies and schedule their participation in a variety of study formats.

Your Top three Key-responsibilities:

  • Recruit research participant candidates drawn from a database of creators who have opted into the UX Research program, employee referrals, and through your own on-the-ground networking efforts at creator events.
  • Screen candidates for availability, interest level, and appropriate qualifications using online questionnaire responses and phone interviews.
  • Coordinate the logistics of user research, including participant scheduling, facility scheduling, and distribution of incentives.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with researchers to understand their study needs, maintain constant communication on recruiting progress and meet their specified goals in a timely manner
  • Scrutinize study specifications and planned assessments to ensure quality data is gathered from the right people
  • Leverage creative solutions to identify target participants and bring them into our participant database
  • Advise researchers and answer their questions regarding legal considerations around their studies

Outcomes/Deliverables:

  • Review/advise on screening questionnaire
  • Pull candidate list to start screening via phone (if applicable)
  • Complete screening/scheduling of final roster of participants
  • Manage all email communication with participants and researchers
  • Negotiate criteria and/or quota mix requirements (if needed)
  • Collect feedback on participant quality and attendance
  • Facilitate study logistics, including incentive fulfillment and NDA signing
  • Track workload and study volume metrics
  • Post on external sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, Craigstlist) to bring new participants into our database
  • Recruit all participants for a given study within the timeframe agreed upon with the researcher

Your Profile:

  • High school diploma (Bachelor's degree in any field preferred)
  • Organized, detail oriented and able to work independently on multiple projects at once
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Client/customer-facing experience
  • Experience interfacing with entertainment/Internet talent
  • Work experience in any of the following areas:
  • Recruiting (whether for study participants or job candidates)
  • High-touch customer support
  • Coordination/administrative/project management support

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Apps including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Analytics, etc.
  • Interest in and familiarity with technology products
  • Experience with database technology, including queries and reporting
  • Knowledge of NDA and privacy best practices, including opt-in
  • Experience working with people outside of the US
