German speaking Senior Business Analyst (Data/Credit products)
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a German speaking Senior Business Analyst with strong data flows and Credit Risk domain experience.

Role:
- Main field of responsibility of the team is to deliver IT projects within the Credit Risk Management space for the Private Banking | Wealth Management segment.
- The role is a hybrid between Business Analyst/Project Manager role where the candidate is expected to work independently on BA tasks while jumping in as deputy to the Program Manager when needed. Adhoc pre-studies are expected and ongoing root cause analysis of challenges facing a big data project will test your abilities as a senior level BA.
- Act as a lead facilitator for business SME's, you will drive coordination of project deliverables and proactively manage stakeholders expectations
- Identify and document business requirements from key business stakeholders, namely from Credit Risk Management team but also some demand from CFO and Front Organisations
- Run data analysis and data quality checks for Credit Risk Methodology area
- Work jointly with IT and business organizations to implement effective business solutions
- Support of the overall project delivery to ensure that all requirements are addressed
- Embrace an independent working style in parallel with providing succinct updates to a Senior Project Lead when necessary
- Work effectively in and leading working groups with diverse Business stakeholders to ensure requirements and priorities are successfully met
- Ensure up-to-date status reports are available through use of web portals (eg JIRA) - vital for senior management updates
- Actively manage business testing and UAT activity
- Face-off confidently with Project and Program Leads with high-level updates and know when to drill down at the right time
Skills:
- Over 7 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst with some Project Management skills to be able to drive a strategic program
- Excellent business analysis experience within banking and financial services, including specification of business requirements
- Solid experience in data flows and data catalogue/data gap analysis
- Profound understanding of Private Banking Wealth Management credit products and processes in Credit Risk Management
- Experience in IT implementations, strong technical understanding and flair to understand complex IT landscapes
- Effective stakeholder management, experience in facing senior business stakeholders, and ability to engage with quantitative expert
- Fluent English and conversational German expected
- Prior consulting background is beneficial and experience with supporting multiple projects at the same time a real plus
- Swiss banking experience advantageous
- Experience with business architectures/Target Operating models
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness of delivery
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work with little supervision
- Proven ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner (written and verbal effective time management - able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Good team player - the team has a reputation of being able to deliver with quality and upholding these high standards individually and as a team will be given the highest priority
- Familiarity with business processes, financial products, risk management and regulatory requirements (eg FSA Basel II/III; FINMA)
