Project Controls Engineer-Project Management/Engineering/Pharma

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a Project Control Engineer for one of their pharma based client.

Purpose of the function:

-Responsible for coordination of project controls activities at site - project schedule and costs.
-Responsible for monitoring and following up the data booked in SAP/Messerli
-Responsible for supporting the planning activity of the project.
-Assisting the project team members in any phases and ensure the execution of each stage, minimizing rework.
-Responsible for identifying counteractive measures in case of negative performances

Main Tasks & Responsibilties:

-Responsible for communicating project progress and other issues to project manager
-Planning and forecasting duties - continuous monthly rolling forecast for project, cost,time and scope.
-Responsible to support the preparation of cost estimates and produce accurate and unbiased cost forecasts at a detailed and summary level for the final cost.
-Responsible for preparation and update of project time schedule in MSP, project reports and writing of protocols.
-Establish and monitor the critical path in the project master and update subproject schedules.
-Identify early warning of adverse cost, schedule, quality trends and ensure that corrective actions are taken by performing "plan-actuals-forecast "- analysis.
-Using the client Change Order Management process, incorporate changes to the scope, schedule and cost control systems and to the reporting update and monitor risk register and change Order log.
-Responsible for preparation and update of project documentation (PEP, Project Controls Plan etc.)
-Documentation of the projects concerning approvals, release, planned and actual value
-Support the project manager to secure resource requirements.
-Manpower planning - Review and monitoring of working hours
-Assisting in development and training of the relevant staff in project controls topics.
-Support the interface between project and clients's local and global policies and guidelines (eg procurement, accounting, documentations policies)
-Responsible to monitor the contractors' project controls techniques to ensure that tools are capable of meeting client requirements and are properly implemented as outlined in the job specifications and execution procedures.

Work/Professional Experience

-Minimum 5 years of engineering/construction related experience, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, successfully managing large and complex projects.
-Minimum 5 years of experience with CAPEX projects successfully (as a Project Controls Engineer)
-Must have excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, teambuilding and collaboration skills.
-Good experience working with project management including implementation of risk & interface management of complex projects.

Education:

-You have a Bachelor Degree or higher, preferably in Engineering.
-A Graduate degree or certification in Project Management (ie PMI certification) is considered a plus.

Languages:

-Fluent in English
-Proficient in German
