Financial Analyst - Pharma, SAP and reporting systems desired

Whitehall resources are recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst for our client in Switzerland.

Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Planning/Finance/Controlling
- Prior experience working for a Pharma company is a definite plus
- Bachelor's degree with major in finance/accounting/economics or other related fields
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills required
- Advanced Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of advanced concepts related to financial analysis and accounting
- SAP knowledge desirable or experience with reporting systems (Hyperion Enterprise/HFM)
- Strong communication and planning skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Sr. manager in FP&A will provide support to the Financial Planning and Analysis Director and will be part of the Finance regional team covering the below matters:

- Financial Planning and Analysis support to the senior management of the Central Budget Functions for the accurate and timely financial submissions of Latest Best Estimates, Annual Plan and Long range Plan to achieve financial deliverables
- Ensure accuracy of forecasts for the Central functions and meet finance deadlines according to the planning calendar
- Provide a good level of analysis of YTD spending vs Plan on a monthly basis to the Functions and ensure controlling and monitoring of expenses, identifying trends and recommending actions
- Work together with the FP&A Director for the consolidation of Central Budget regional results understanding variances and drivers, preparing presentations to reflect status
- Work with financial planning and finance systems to maintain the correct booking of expenses of the Central Functions to ensure correct allocation and mapping of costs and have high level quality of analysis
- Run successfully the Accruals process together with all the functions to ensure the spending is correctly reflected
- Provide Ad-hoc requests on analysis of expenses or data to senior management
- Prepare presentations in support of monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings
- Partner with other internal teams including accounting, treasury, tax as appropriate
- Support to other Global functions such as Legal, Global Communications, Marketing, Zurich site and others
