Beschreibung

For a global bank based here in Zürich we are searching for a Cobol Team leader.

The Job:

  • develop software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
  • test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
  • support the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
  • make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager
  • manage versions of software artifacts

Your team:

  • You'll be working in the Trade Booking team in Zürich. The role is to Lead and grow a team of Cobol Developers to continuously deliver high quality solutions into Production.

Your experience and skills:

  • Strong and recent Cobol team leadership experience (min 3 years) working within Banking &/or Financial Services environment
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to assist growth within the team and brining up the skills of junior developers
  • Actively improving and maintaining Subject Matter Expertise within the team
  • Recruitiment management
  • Strong Process Improvement focus
  • Extensive experience in designing, coding, testing and installing application programs across multiple platforms
  • Preparing and maintaining systems and program documentation
  • Assisting in the analysis and design of applications programs and databases -Modifying and troubleshooting application programs
  • System simulation testing
  • Ability to work as part of a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with users and third party vendors
  • Experience working within a Agile environment (preferred)
