Senior Supply Chain Specialist - Diagnostics & Transformation

Are you a highly qualified Diagnostics & Transformation Supply Chain Specialist with experience within a mutinational and muticultural environment and looking for an exciting new opportunity within an NGO?

Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for a Diagnostics & Transformation Supply Chain Specialist to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.

Your role:

The Senior supply chain specialist will play the leading role in project managing the initiative and agreed in-country Supply Chain strategy through solution definition, design, planning and implementation in those countries. This will include management of resources that could include in-country Project Management Office resources, Capacity Building Service/Technical Assistance providers and third party logistics service providers (3PLs).

Your responsibilities:

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to development and implementation of the Clients Supply Chain Strategy.

  • Map and select relevant countries for specific focus and dedicated support, especially countries with potential for investment to transform their Supply Chains; based on analysis of Supply Chain performance and other related contextual information and application of Supply Chain guiding principles.

  • Develop in conjunction with the Country, Country Team and potential partners a vision and compelling change case for Supply Chain transformation, potential high-level solution components, and outline implementation approach, including an economic business case.

  • Prepare detailed budgets and funding approach, including identifying sources of catalytic funding required for the proposed design and implementation, raising partner co-funding, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor benefits delivery and a high-level project plan/implementation roadmap, highlighting the timeframe, resources, deliverables and cash injections.

To deliver the required results, it's essential that you have:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience of leading practice Supply Chain principles and their contextual appropriateness; including experience of supply chain systems, stakeholders and networks in developing countries, especially Africa. This should include senior operational Supply Chain experience - for example with a private sector 3PL and 4PL organization, a functional role within an international industrial corporation, or within a leading consulting organization.
  • Proven project and program management expertise gained in implementing change and leading Supply Chain techniques in similar situations.
  • Proven success working in complex multi-stakeholder environments, requiring decision making abilities with limited information available and under tight deadlines.
  • Strong experience of implementing and managing contracts for large technical assistance providers, Public Private Partnership (PPP)-type arrangements, outsourcing or 3PL/4PLs.
  • Fluent in English, working knowledge of French
