My client are looking for a Catalogue Product Owner with strong experience on catalogue management and merchandising understanding to deliver impactful customer experiences online for the EMEA market.

This role will be a 6-month rolling engagement and can be based in Switzerland (up to 700 GBP a day) or remotely from UK (up to 500 GBP a day). This role is an ASAP start, so will only suit those immediately available.

Catalogue Product Owner

Being part of a wider global product group, this role will act as central figure and will partner with multiple teams to drive the Catalogue product roadmap across EMEA. This person will work closely with Merchandising Team of various brands, the client's Business Technology teams on catalogue improvements, development, and delivery of new features to support business/merchandising needs.

The best candidate for the role will demonstrate a deep understanding of Merchandising needs and impact on business. The right candidate knows the digital trends in EMEA, specifically the ones related to catalogue, holds a track record of delivering successful digital products in Europe, demonstrates a keen eye for detail, a high degree of skill in managing across multiple departments and a passion for delivering the very best customer experiences that exceed local expectations.

In this unique position, he/she will help define the catalogue experience for the client's brands and their customers regionally. He/she will need to clearly understand and drive the overall vision from a high-level strategic standpoint down to the very small details - both from a business perspective as well as the Back End/development perspective. He/she will have an opportunity for immense impact, helping drive the company's aggressive roadmap in EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate and drive the catalogue product vision for the EMEA region support the definition of the product plan and drive the product enhancements for the EMEA region, collaborating also with the Global Product Team in the execution across regional product improvements
  • Work with the client's brands and business stakeholders in EMEA to translate their requirements into a digital roadmap to execute
  • Identify and communicate on-going understanding and awareness of competitor activity and relevant industry trends, particularly regional
  • Collaborate within a global team of Product Owners, Project Managers and Technologists to align product roadmaps, delivery schedules, and capabilities
  • Work with local and central business leads to develop the business case for the product and to continually push for achievement of commercial targets
  • Provide customer and business context to the delivery teams, empowering them explore creative solutions, whilst simultaneously, ensuring the team delivers against scope and time commitments
  • Work with business stakeholders to define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs), as well as release-specific success metrics
  • Promote and support a test and learn culture, sharing the findings throughout the business
  • Assist with production troubleshooting and problem resolution as needed in support of the continued success of the product
  • Identify and drive through short-term initiatives that improve the performance of the product alongside longer term projects

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong WebSphere Commerce Experience
  • A digital native with extensive knowledge and demonstrable experience within Europe
  • Product management experience within a direct-to-consumer online/eCommerce environment
  • Extensive working experience and knowledge of eCommerce and Mobile
  • Experience working within Jira and Agile environments, particularly Scrum
