Overview of business area or project:

Interesting job in Liquidity Measurement & Reporting. The team is responsible for reporting and providing data analysis support on the Bank's liquidity reporting to Regulators such as Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) or Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) as well as supporting global liquidity management whose role is to optimize the structure of Bank's funding and liquidity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of monthly Loans & Deposits input into the daily and monthly LCR, divisional LCR, monthly NSFR & divisional NSFR, quarterly Additional Liquidity Monitoring Metrics (ALMM) or data validation for Barometer MI
  • Broad exposure to senior management and a wide range of critical liquidity management matters. Assume and own ad hoc requests from inception to completion. Respond to ad-hoc requests; support the Liquidity Teams in Treasury as well as divisional Finance Business Units in day to day analysis, ensure follow up on pending items
  • Contribute to efficiency and quality through process improvements and/or report enhancements on new and current tasks where applicable; ensure operational control and identify failures, missing controls and seek for solutions to remediate
  • Support other projects & initiatives relating to liquidity reporting

Overview of the Department

Team of 4 with global exposure. Interaction span covers a range of Senior stakeholders from Treasury and Business Divisions.

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:

  • Very manual, excel based process. Prone to errors and hence extra care and attention to quality and details has to be paid when preparing reporting output
  • Quite a number of ad hoc requests, late adjustments, inquiries for additional analysis which may cause a bit of stress and overtime
  • Deadline driven environment

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mathematical confidence and accuracy when calculating large numbers
  • Very good excel knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the asset, liability and products commonly employed in financial markets for trading and risk management purposes would be very beneficial. Basic knowledge is a must.
  • Attention to detail; being able to track trends and spot anomalies
  • Accuracy and a control focus; A zero error mind set
  • Strong communication skills with a drive to expand network and knowledge
  • A team player who is able to organise daily workload around the needs of the team and the goals of the role and show initiative
  • Able to work well under time pressure with strict reporting deadlines

Desired Skills

  • Candidates with Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, analysis experience within a banking environment are preferred. However, applicants from other backgrounds with relevant skills will be considered. Alternatively graduates with little experience (up to 2 years of practical experience) who demonstrate competence in a specialist discipline
