German/English speaking Compliance Officer (banking)
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a German and English speaking Compliance Officer who can start as soon as possible. Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company then please have a look at the details:
Role:
- Our client currently has a backlog of pending requests from Swiss based employees and they are looking to hire a contractor to help bring down the pending amount of requests.
- Additionally, assess if appropriate and in line with the policy, identify potential conflicts of interests/reputational concerns and manage escalations of cases
- In addition the contractor is to provide support on general Conflict of Interest matters, assess potential conflicts of interest situation (mainly for RM's) and elaborate appropriate solutions.
Skills:
- Over 4 years of experience in compliance in a similar role
- Fluent in German/English
- Degree level or equivalent, ie Bachelor/Master in Law or Economics and competent knowledge and working experience in risk management/compliance would be a plus
- Previous experience in banking industry
- As the business can be very demanding and challenging, soft skills are very important. More precisely:
- Ability to work well under pressure, independently, proactively and with demanding business partners
- Ability to identify situations requiring escalation
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication skills
