Financial Reporting - Software rollout project (banking)

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a Financial Analyst/Reporting Analyst who has already participated in a software rollout project within a bank. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Overview of area:

  • This team manages policies and frameworks for application globally across a number of key business processes.
  • The successful candidate will be part of a bank wide initiative which seeks to foster collaboration and drive revenue growth via the successful cross divisional referral of sales opportunities.
  • Part of the role will be supporting Tableau rollout across the Divisions. The role further requires a financial analyst to assist in the day to day management of all related processes.

Role:

  • Support the rollout of Tableau (a data visualization software) across the Divisions which will require gathering divisional requirements across the users and translating these to the Tableau Development team
  • Oversee a parallel run between the existing and new process and ensuring pre rollout steps are completed before a switch to the new reporting structure occurs
  • Ensuring testing co-ordination across the divisions and completing key checks centrally
  • Prepare financial analysis to identify revenue generated, identify trends and opportunities for additional collaboration
  • Manage various projects including IT improvement initiatives to enhance current processes and systems
  • Assist in developing performance related presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Day to day management of relationships with stakeholders across the bank to ensure processes are executing effectively
  • Oversight over day to day processes for SGC, including deal due diligence, and monthly/
    quarterly revenue management and booking

Skills:

  • 4 years' experience as a business or financial analyst
  • Solid knowledge of banking environment (products and processes)
  • Management reporting experience especially being able to design new reporting templates or refinement of existing decks which go to senior management
  • Experience of being involved in a key software or system rollout, understanding the full life cycle.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
  • Strong Excel modelling (formulas, calculations, working with large data set)
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Excellent ability to build and manage relationships at various levels of a complex and international organization
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and able to develop presentations for use by senior audiences
  • Desired skills include Tableau experience, Access skills and German
