Description
- CNC programming required & Metal Cutting experience required
You are an expert within Swiss lathe technology
- Develop manufacturing process setups of average complexity, including Tooling & fixtures definition,
Optimize Manufacturing Programming to reduce costs and cycle times
- Program, setup and operate manufacturing equipment in assigned area with assistance of experienced technician
- Type of equipment can be but not limited to CNC or manual lathe, mills, grinders, etc.
- Use of various types of measuring instruments including numerous types of gages, micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.
- Completion of documentation as required by the process and applicable work instructions.
- Develop & maintain 5S (maintaining coolant levels, emptying chip containers, etc. )

- follow process sheets, perform first piece inspections and in process quality checks.
- set process parameters and define tooling and fixturing with assistance of experienced technician.
- understand existing processes and tooling setups and edit existing machining programs in support of process tests, validations and production as required.
- act as a model for the operators in terms of attitude, running machines, following processes, and decision making.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Electrical - Install and repair motors and drives. Run conduit and wire.
- Mechanical - Ability to service and repair air compressors, air dryers, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, tow motors, and general plant equipment.
- General - Knowledge and application methods to perform general plumbing/carpentry tasks and able to perform general grounds keeping.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, trade or technical school education desirable.
- Knowledge of CNC Machines and basic electricity desirable.
- Good knowledge of TB DECO or ISO Citizen required.
- Ease with IT tools, knowledge of CAM system is a bonus, GIBBSCAM preference.
Minimal language skills:
English desirable & French must be fluent (spoken and written), German nice to have (not necessary)
