For our banking client we are currently looking for a

Sourcing Specialist

Start date: 01.07.2017
End date: 31.12.2017
Location: Zurich

Your tasks:
- Supports the execution of the sourcing strategy and be the first point of contact for deal related queries for both the vendor organisation as well within the bank Service Delivery organisations
- Manages, drives and co-ordinates detailed commercial deal negotiations with our vendors, ensuring that deals deliver the strategy and maximum commercial benefit to the bank
- Provide clear direction on vendor capabilities, go-to-market approach, deal negotiation strategies and contract execution
- Ensures that there is clean transition from pre-contract phases of deal negotiation into business as usual ie ongoing contract management, vendor performance, contract compliance etc.
- Works to identify, address and improve current sourcing processes, templates and tools
- Knows and understands the contract in detail.
- Is the first point of contact for contract related queries for both the vendor organisation as well within the bank Service Delivery organisations whilst validating the vendor performance against the contractual commitments (SLA) and invoking Credits or penalties associated
- Manages the end-to-end life cycle process of Contract Change from development through to execution, Negotiations with Vendor in conjunction with provider partners and internal procedures; Final approval and signoff)
- When in dispute or for an issue, interprets the contract and ensures timely problem resolution of contractual issues
- Ensures optimisation of the contract commercially during its life cycle for eg (not limited to) Change to the scope of services, SLA realignment, bench marking, pricing structure.
- Manages the negotiations in this regard along with the provider partner team and will verify proposals and RFx responses against contractual terms and conditions (including pricing, proposed charging mechanisms, chargeability of items) proposing if necessary the most appropriate solution for the bank

The ideal candidate shall bring:
- Work experience in procurement and come from IT software development background, understanding of software development topics (procedures, processes)
- Experience of working with or for large IT service providers and Software publishers (working in a large scale company)
- Experience of managing application development and testing services
- Experience of managing large (multi-million) Managed Services or IT Outsourcing contracts including expertise in outsourcing methodologies, contracts and commercial models
- Extensive experience with contract negotiation with third parties on financials and legal terms whilst having the ability to understand, interpret and draw conclusions from contractual terms
- Widespread cross-functional interaction with senior leadership in bank requiring maturity and a strong emphasis on concise and accurate communication, both written and verbal
- People management and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with staff from a diverse mix of backgrounds and cultures
- Strong commercial and financial analysis
- Fluent English (German is an advantage)
