Technical SAP Release Manager/Release Management/Solution Manager/SolMan/Charm
Marlin Green are urgently searching for a Technical SAP Release Manager to successfully release changes to the SAP production landscape at the correct time and with high quality. The Release Manager will be assuring the safety of production operations, and managing releases in the right way.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years experience of release management in SAP on a global scale.
- Experience with Solution Manager/SolMan/Charm for managing transports & releases
- Experience with SAP transport management (STMS)
- Ability to assess the changes contained within SAP transports to manage dependencies and risks
- Ability to read and assess ABAP code
- ITIL Foundation
Other responsibilities include:
- Manage the weekly release of changes to the SAP Production landscape
- Maintain the release calendar for all SAP landscapes aligned with project plans and vacation periods
- Define gate keeping processes and maintain these, including compliance to the documentation guidelines, within established frameworks including the Project Delivery Model
- Define and execute SAP Solution Manager roadmap with respect to its use for managing changes through the landscape
- Define and maintain processes and tools to govern, control and execute change across teams and projects, within the framework of Change & Release Management
- Define release and deploy strategy and plans
- Manage Change & Release Management tools as the product and service owner
- Capture Risks and Issues related to Release Management
The contract is based in Basel for an initial 6 months + further extensions.
Candidates who are able to start in May will be preferred, however our customer can also consider candidates who can start at the beginning of June.
