Beschreibung

For our client in Basel we are looking for a Procurement Generalist for a contract for 3 months.

Duration: 20.03.2017- 19.06.2017

Place: Basel

Workload: 100%

Major Accountabilities

* Responsible for developing and performing RFx; analysing data making data driven recommendations for selected suppliers, and developing preferred contract language with new suppliers or renegotiating existing contracts in accordance with contract guidelines.
* Supplier selection an purchase orders/outline agreements(catalogues) creation
* Analyze market development, strategies and dynamics and use insight to choose the best supply strategies
* Engage suppliers in supplier performance measurement and continuous improvement activities to drive productivity and performance
* Manage risk and supplier compliance within this category of spends; ensure supplier conformance to delivery schedule, quality policies, implement backup solutions in case of single sourced supply situations
* Ability to manage a category spend in the range of $25-$50MM USD per year and develop and drive annual cost savings goals and objectives.
* Proactively look for opportunities to increase cost efficiency in conjunction with the functional area stakeholders across sites to add value and reduce costs
* Coordinate and facilitate communication between suppliers and internal customers.
* Efficient management of claims and supply shortages
* Adherence and implementation of wide guidelines and best practice in the area of MROM management.
* Creation and analysis of spend and saving reports, support maintenance budget creation, create/update PIR in the system and improve ordering automation through catalogues.
* Ensure the purchasing end to end best in class processes to ensure performances improvement KPI
* Active participation in global and local Tenders and purchasing projects
* Active stakeholder management with global categories and local site stakeholders
* Improvement of working capital for through payment terms optimization, lead time reduction and implementation of Just In Time and consignment stock

* Accomplish the savings target in the Category/Cluster.
* Best in class procurement operations to consolidate spend, reduce supplier based and realize savings.
* Ensure business continuity and cooperation with stakeholders.
* Ensure alignment with Regional/Global activities.
* Improve efficiency in the buying process through catalogues and automatic order in SAP system

Ideal Background

* University degree or similar education
* Fluent in German and English 5 years experience of working in a similar position.
* Experience of working in Indirect Procurement or equivalent operations
* Experience in supporting customers directly
* Experience managing Stakeholders and dealing with Vendors
* Excellent experience in SAP SRM and other enterprise applications
* Demonstrated communication skills
* Analytical
* Results oriented, proactive and organized
* Proved negotiation skills
