For our client, a global banking company in Zürich, we are looking for

Application Support

for a 12-month contract

We support two main areas, Group Finance and Treasury:

  • Group Finance IT is responsible not only for the books & records, regulatory reporting and disclosures of the bank, but also for producing performance management reports for the Board of Directors and other senior management stakeholders.
  • Treasury IT supports Global Treasury and the Liquidity Management and Measurement functions of the Bank. The main areas of delivery are:
  • Liquidity Management - includes both regulatory and internal liquidity MI systems
  • Exposure Management - provision of FX P/L exposure globally and delivery Hedge accounting capabilities to manage interest rate P/L swings on the balance sheet
  • Money Market Funding and Execution - includes Money Market Trading and Front Office risk management
  • Key Responsibilities

    • A support role in production services for Risk & Finance IT (Group IT)
    • Exposure to formal ITIL support standards - incident, problem and change management
    • Opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of the Swiss Finance IT environmen
    • Chance to become a Subject Matter Expert for one or more applications in the application portfolio
    • Responsibility to drive OLAs and SLA adherence between IT to IT and IT to business
    • Involvement in Major incident management governance and resolution
    • Opportunity to drive production stability through orchestration of defined resolution strategy
    • Ownership for the IT/incident tickets open in the area of responsibilit
    • Driving full root cause analysis and a detailed investigation of issues in the agreed time
    • Key visibility in managing relationships with IT & User senior stakeholders globally
    • Involvement in Proactive communication of incidents to users and senior management
    • Collaborations with support teams globally

    Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

    • 3 years' plus experience in an IT Support or IT Operations role
    • Strong stakeholder communication skills
    • Distinctive analytical thinking, solution-oriented personality
    • Practical experience with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting
    • Experience with Relational Databases (ideally Oracle)
    • University degree (or equivalent) qualification in an IT/Quantitative subject
    • Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus

    Desired Skills and Qualifications:

    • Batch/Control-M experience is a strong plus
    • ITIL V3 certificate is a strong plus
    • Ability to do on-call duty and to work on weekend/holidays on month end or special events as scheduled
