Join a highly motivated team of data scientists in the heart of Zurich!
We are currently looking for two Data Scientists (junior/senior) with a background in computing science, statistics or econometrics and a few years of commercial experience (1-2 years for junior/>3 years for senior). As a data scientist, you will be responsible for delivering insightful analysis of customer behavior. Responsibilities:
- Develop segmentations, predictive models, and statistical insights using appropriate tools
- Analyze data deeply to understand patterns and trends
- Transform these insights into actionable reports, targeting algorithms, and personalization filters
- Understand key drivers of rules/model variation and communicate insights to regional and global executives
- Provide technical expertise in statistical analysis, mathematical modelling, data mining/machine learning
- Work with global teams on ad-hoc projects and take a key role in international projects
Requirements:
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and scientific modelling skills
- Experience in segmentation building, predictive analytics, and statistical modelling
- Adept at problem solving using both textbook methods and novel viewpoints
- Proficiency in SQL and handling large datasets
- Proficiency in R, Matlab, Python or other analytics/data mining package
- Familiarity with Hadoop a plus
- Able to translate a high-level directions into practical projects and lead/drive their completion with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor degree in some STEM discipline. Master degree or postgraduate education a plus.
