For a 6 months project at our banking client site, an international bank here in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

German Speaking AML Compliance Officer (3990)

In this role you are going to support the management to make the decision to buy or make the right front system for the global security market and to find the right vendor.

Your Qualifications:

- Several years of experience in the financial industry, ideally in the area of financial crime compliance, business risk management or internal audit
- Strong analytical skills
- Independent and goal oriented working style
- An open, flexible, team-oriented personality with good communication skills
- Perseverance and the ability to cope with pressure
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- University degree in law or business administration or equivalent (e.g. bachelor in applied sciences)
- Very good spoken and written German and English, knowledge of additional languages would be a plus (e.g. Spanish, French, Russian)

Your Responsibilities:

- Support the dedicated Transaction Monitoring Team (ex-post monitoring of transactions with regards to all type of business in the Swiss Universal - Bank and International Wealth Management divisions)
- Disposal of alerts generated by an specialized AML/TF software that has been recently tuned to detect high risk transactions that may require clarification (in terms of origin of assets, compatibility of client profile with the client’s transactional activity, commercial background of the transaction)
- In-depth analysis of transactional activity
- Support the Transaction Monitoring Team during the Training and Testing Phase of a new tool deployment
- Participation in Transaction Surveillance Projects when required
