For our customer, we would like to fill the following vacancy:Senior Project Portfolio Manager 50% (2.5 days on site)
Place of work: larger Basel area
Timeframe March months / latest startiing date_ 1 April 2016
Background:
Backfill of the current IT Portfolio Manager, who is temporary engaged in another project until the end of 2016.
Tasks:
• Lead day-to-day activities in managing the IT portfolios
• Coordinate schedules, communications and actions with the portfolio managers or portfolio management councils
• Acts as day-to-day liaison with Financial Controlling for IT portfolios
• Contribute to continuous improvement of applied portfolio management processes and practices, ensuring they are ‘fit for purpose’
• Track portfolio & project progress & run monthly portfolio oversight activities and communications with the activity owners
• Provide ongoing support to stakeholders with respect to portfolio management processes and practices
• Provide guidance for project initiation/approval, which includes:
• Assist PMs to create Baseline/Entry into Portfolio presentations
• Assess project review/approval routing requirements
• Communicate to relevant portfolio management stakeholders in business and IT
• Project Tracking
• Flag projects that are out of reporting compliance
• Track the progress of when projects are to be kicked off and if they are on schedule to do so
• Assist in tracking the health of projects that have been kicked off
• Track resource and budget consumption and forecast
Requirements:
• 3 years’ experience as a Portfolio Manager and / or minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager for Global Projects
• Fluency in English verbally and written
• Good communication and presentation skills
