For a global bank here in Zurich we are searching for aPerl System Engineer (3342)
to join the global team spread across Switzerland, Singapore and India.
The role is part of the Service Now Data Integration Team which enables ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) of data from the bank's various sources to our Service Now instances via a mid-server configuration.
The nature of the work comprises both projects and ongoing production support, and includes:
-Design, Deploy, and Support Automated ETL jobs for a variety of Data Source types within the existing framework.
-Support and maintain the scheduled jobs and data Import definitions and transform maps within ServiceNow
Documentation - Design, monitoring and Implementation documents
-Assist and mentor the support teams in problem resolution and drive for constant “correct shift”
-The team consists of one team member in Switzerland and two outsourced resources in India. A new manager is due to start in Switzerland 1 February 2016.
We are looking for candidates with:
-Strong Perl experience (essential). You do not need to be a Developer but must know modules of Perl
-Hands on ETL experience (nice to have)
-Java script (asset)
-ServiceNow knowledge (nice to have)
-Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues
-Demonstrated experience with databases, including SQL programming, preferable Oracle
-Strong knowledge of Windows server environment
-Proven ability to work independently
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business analysts, solution architects, project managers and development teams.
-English essential
