For our customer Roche based in Schlieren we are looking for a highly qualified Logistical Lab Associate
Background:
Roche Innovation Center Zurich is pRED's Center of Excellence for Cancer Immunotherapy. It boasts a multinational team of some 185 employees - many of whom are research scientists -with a dynamic, thriving biotech culture. We are a multicultural team focussing on discovery, engineering and technical development of next generation protein-based therapeutics. Although at our research site the main focus is the development of new biotherapeutics for cancer immunotherapy, we are fully integrated in pRED, offering our expertise to all disease areas and working in a strong collaboration network across all pRED sites. You will be joining a group of scientists dedicated to
the supply of DNA, cell lines and proteins, which are requested by internal and external collaborators. You will take ownership of your administrative and logistical tasks and work independently.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Receive and process sample orders and shipments
- Administrative & lab support for outsourcing, shipments and activities related to the DNA- & protein supply
- Update and maintain the DNA-, cell line & protein inventory
- Purchasing of lab materials
- Highly interact with all the functions on site and focus on the logistics of biological samples
- Collaborate, build and maintain close relationships with similar functions within Therapeutic Modalities (TMo) and pRED at different locations (Basel, Munich)
Must Haves:
- Finished apprenticeship as Laboratory Technician or Bachelor in Biochemistry/Biotechnology or equivalent degree with relevant experience
- Knowledge of working under sterile conditions & molecular biological techniques
- Technical flair and good IT skills in G-Suite; Familiarity with LIMS is a plus
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English is a must; German is a plus
