COSMETICS REGULATORY AFFAIRS SPECIALIST
Location: Basel, Switzerland
Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain overview and exchange on current and evolving regulatory requirements in Europe and in the Western Europe region, with primary focus on cosmetic products.
• Represent interest in selected European and Local Trade Associations and share information with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintenance of all product registrations, licenses and notifications throughout the whole life-cycle of the products assigned.
• Ensure that regulatory filings are of quality and filed in accordance with agreed upon business timelines, including cosmetic products notifications.
• Develop regulatory assessments and strategies for new and existing products under development in close coordination with the line manager and central Regulatory Affairs team in Switzerland.
• Establish strong relationships within the European organization and Regional Technology Partners on a cross-functional basis including Marketing, Legal, Technical, Supply Chain, Regulatory and Product Safety, to ensure alignment and synchronization between Regulatory strategies and Business goals.
• Provide regulatory support on day-to-day regulatory activities (e.g. artworks, SOPs, cross-functional meetings and projects), new initiatives and developments.
• Monitors progress and adapts plans according to change in circumstances.
• Demonstrates high energy in tackling challenging goals.
• Agility in executing with speed and quality.
• Effective communication, keeping people well informed of plans, goals and objectives, and sharing information openly
• Adapts quickly to new demands and challenges.
• Responds to day-to-day issues and problems with simple, timely and practical solutions.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of Regulatory Affairs experience in an international environment, FMCG preferred.
• Fluency in French and English is required, other European languages, such as Dutch, is highly valuable
