For our client based in Zurich, Michael Bailey Associates is currently looking to hire a Group Consolidation Accountant for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.In this project, you will collaborate within the team in the preparation of the quarterly and consolidation processes. Especially you will assist the team in managing the IFRS 17 reporting and consolidation schedule for 2022.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist the team in the preparation of the quarterly consolidation of the company under IFRS
- Assist in preparation of audit and Internal Control over Financial Reporting backup and supporting documents
- Analyse the consolidated data and the different consolidation processes (IFRS, actual, simulation versions etc.)
- Support the team in improving the consolidation processes
- Handling of ad hoc requests
Your skills and qualifications:
- University degree in Finance (Accounting and Controlling) or similar education
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of IFRS and general accounting knowledge
- Good knowledge of IFRS and previous accounting and/or reporting work experience
- Willing to take ownership, hardworking, persistent, able to work under pressure, team-oriented personality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Knowledge in BCS, BW(SAP) desired; other consolidation software limited advantage
- Solid use of Microsoft Office especially Excel (Power Pivot/Query/BI knowledge big advantage
