Our client, global listed clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company is looking for an SAP Functional Lead (FI) to act as a central liaison between their SAP Center of Excellence (COE) and embedded functional teams within their business units. This role will be responsible for developing, supporting, and enabling the processes and practice behind a process driven culture at the company. You will build trust in a vision where business value and decisions are driven through a thoughtful and innovative use of SAP technology solutions.
Supporting their functional teams, you will ensure that their record-to-report, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay processes follow best practices and demonstrate innovation while reflecting the company's values and policies. The SAP Functional Lead (FISD) needs to represent the interests of patients and partners while assisting the company in driving value from their processes.
This role is a playercoach role, requiring the ability to be hands-on while conducting needs gap fit analysis, business process engineering, and solution design with the added ability to supervise consultants and hold them accountable to deliver results that meet their high expectations.
Responsibilities Include
Act as a liaisonconcierge between the SAP COE and embedded analyst teams within business units to ensure the overall business needs of the organization are met through SAP enablement.
Serve as a subject matter expert of SAP Finance and SAP Sales and Distribution functional areas. And function as overall SAP functional lead through an aggressive greenfield SAP implementation of FI, SD, SCM and with other modules as needed. Provide functional guidance and oversight of SAP ERP projects.
Meet with functional teams to understand functional requests, work with them to identify and close gaps in requirements
Create, communicate, and oversee business process design and functional solution designs. Document SOPs to support those processes.
Collaborate with functional teams to identify opportunities for enabling new SAP features or configuration sets to improve team efficiency
Own, grow, and support their business analyst function. Serve as mentor and problem-solver for business analysts by helping them capture business requirements, understand SAP configuration in support of those processes, highlight gaps in processes and configuration, and designconfigure solutions to remediate gaps and support business needs.
Represent the business teams and stakeholders as delivered SAP solutions are operationalized and deployed into production
Document requirements, solution design, test plans, and review completed business requests and related artifacts for quality before final artifacts are delivered
Provide expertise and train staff on proper project methodologies, processes, and support internal quality assessments and reviews for assigned projects and applications to ensure compliance and or application of best practices
Required Education, Skills, And Experience
Bachelor's Degree related discipline (finance, accounting, business, technical discipline, etc)
7+ years' experience in an SAP Functional Expert role in the pharmalife sciences industry
Knowledge and experience in SAP Finance (GL, AR, AP, CO, Treasury, Consolidations) and SAP Sales and Distribution. Preference given for knowledge of additional SAP application areas (SCM, EDI, etc.). Proven experience with multiple SAP HAHA S4 implementations.
Knowledge and experience with SAP HANA S4, S4 Central Finance, S4 Group Reporting. Certification a plus.
Knowledge of GxP quality validation processes and change control
Experience working in a collaborative environment supporting and teaching other team members
Advanced expertise with driving requirements sessions and configuring SAP to meet requirements.
Deep analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and simultaneous, high-profile projects
Experience in a leadership position, including project management and team management
Proven ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education, Skills, And Experience
Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred
